To create your first return:

  1. Create a test order in Shopify using your own details and mark as paid. If you are not sure how to do this see our Creating a test order in shopify help guide .

  2. Open the Sorted Returns Center app.

3. Select Returns portal and select your returns portal URL

4. Enter your order number and email address or phone number for your test order and select Start Return Request button.

5. Select the item you would like to return and the Quantity.

6. Select the Return method and Reason for return and then select Next

7. As the store owner, in this example, you will receive an email notification to confirm your store has received your return request. You can manage notifications sent to you and your customers via the Notifications page.

8. If you haven't set up auto-approve refunds and exchanges you will need to approve the return you have received. To do this go to Manage returns and select the order ID for the return.

9. Open your return which is Pending Approval and select the Approve button.

10. Your customer (you in this case) will now receive an email to confirm that the return has been approved. The customer will now post the parcel back. If you would like to provide your customer with a return label (free or paid) then speak to our team via chat in the bottom right of this screen.

11. You have now received the parcel so select the Mark as Received button. The customer will again be notified.

12. Refund the order. This needs to be done in the standard way, our app does not perform the refund for you.Β

13. Finally when the customer is happy you can archive the return πŸ‘ See button in grey text below request number.

And that's your first return processed. You will see that when you use our prepaid return labels by Collect+ you also have the Collect+ tracking URL in the Tracking field of your return so you can track your customer returns.Β
